
Strock’s Farm Fresh
Meats and Catering is
located just outside Mechanicsburg on the Williams Grove Road,
where the Strocks have been farming for four generations – over 100 years!
Grandpa was a dairy farmer and Grandma started the fresh turkey business
over seventy years ago. This project has grown into the premier
fresh-dressed turkey business in Central PA. Kent and Raelene returned
home, after sojourning in the West raising hogs and teaching Ag Science,
to run the family business, and now we retail more than 2500 fresh
dressed, farm raised turkeys every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In 1982, we built our first commercial pig roaster. That first summer we
roasted 15 pigs. Since then we’ve been continually refining our roasters
and adding to our capacity. Now we have the capacity to roast 15 pigs at
one time, and last year we cooked over 200 pigs for a wide variety of
events. In 1994, faced with continually increasing demand, we expanded
the pig roasting to include side dishes and full service picnic
catering.
Now our services extend year round. We cater both private events and
business functions, with our primary emphasis on working with our
clients to provide the perfect atmosphere and service for every event.
Most of our employees come to us through our church in Mechanicsburg,
and we bring a strong family atmosphere and ethic to everything we do.
After all, our family is what’s most important to us, and we believe
that our clients value the family atmosphere we foster in every event we
cater.
